EchoLink is a software application developed by Synergenics, LLC that enables licensed amateur radio operators to communicate with each other over the internet using voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology.

Operators are able to connect to one of over 2000 available stations, called "nodes," distributed around the world to communicate locally or internationally. EchoLink also allows operators to use their computer or mobile device to connect a conventional radio transceiver to the internet, further expanding the possibilities for communication.

The EchoLink software is free to download and use, but in order to access all of its features, users must have a valid amateur radio license issued by their country's regulatory authority.

Since its launch in 2002, EchoLink has grown to become one of the most popular and widely used VoIP applications among ham radio enthusiasts, providing a convenient and cost-effective way for operators to communicate with each other from almost anywhere in the world.
